TERMS & CONDITIONS

We require a deposit of £75.00 for each week or short break and cheques should be made payable to Forest of Dean Holiday Cottages. A cottage will be held for three days and will be offered for re-let if no deposit is received. All deposits are non refundable. Balance of payment is to be made eight weeks before occupancy.

CANCELLATION

In the unfortunate event of cancellation any period eight weeks prior to your holiday any paid balance can be refunded or an alternative booking may be made, subject to availability up to a six month period. Only one cancellation per booking will be considered. Cancellations less than eight weeks before your holiday will not be eligible for refund but may be viable for alternative booking dates, availability permitting. Any refund or alternative booking is at the managements discretion.

For your protection we strongly recommend you take advantage of holiday cancellation insurance.

OCCUPANCY

*Bookings are accepted on the understanding that no more than 2 adults and a baby/child sleep in a one bedroom cottage and no more than 4 adults and a baby/child sleep in a two bedroom cottage, unless by prior arrangement. *Children must be fully supervised at all times. An inventory of equipment may be seen upon request for your convenience. *Cots and highchairs are available on request and must be booked in advance, there is no charge for a cot or high chair.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

You must advise us of time of arrival in advance otherwise we cannot guarantee that someone will be at the property on your arrival. An estimate of about half an hour is usually acceptable ENTRY TO COTTAGES IS NOT BEFORE 4PM,COTTAGES MUST BE VACATED BY 10AM,

DOGS

Dogs are welcome provided that you are willing to take full responsibility for any damage which they may cause. A charge of £20 per dog per week is levied. You must tell us you a bringing a pet when you make your booking. You must bring your pet basket with you and ensure that your pet(s) does not lie on the bedding or chairs under any circumstances. Pets must not be left unattended in property or elsewhere and must be exercised on a lead and in the charge of an adult.

In the interest of visitors safety and following government legislation we are sorry we are unable to accept the following types of dog: American Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Fila Brasilerio and Dogo Argentinio even where these types of dog are muzzled as required by government legislation.

Assistance dogs
Registered assistance dogs are accepted free of charge in all properties subject to availability of suitable accommodation.

Dogs must not be left in cottages unattended.

VEHICLES

Your vehicles, their accessories and contents are left entirely at your risk. The management are not responsible for any loss or damage from or to any vehicle from any cause whatsoever.

FACILITIES

The management reserve the right to withdraw any facilities without prior notice, where reasonably necessary due to repairs, maintenance, weather conditions and circumstances beyond the management’s control.

UNREASONABLE BEHAVIOUR

The Management have the right to refuse to hand over accommodation to anyone who, in the reasonable opinion of the management, is not suitable to take charge of it. In such cases all hire charges paid will be refunded, as quickly as reasonably possible. The contract will be terminated and the management will have no further liability. The Management reserve the right to terminate a holiday after the keys have been handed over, if unreasonable behaviour of anyone in your party is likely to cause danger or significant annoyance to others or damage to property. In these circumstances no refund will be given. Please note that unreasonable behaviour specifically includes smoking by any member of your party, in property/areas specifically designated as non smoking

DAMAGE TO THE PROPERTY

You are liable to the management for any damage caused in the property during the period of hire. The management have the right to enter any accommodation (without prior notice if this is not practical or possible) if special circumstances or emergencies arise. (for example if repairs need to be carried out)
